What is permanent makeup?Last Updated: June 04, 2019
Permanent cosmetics, also known as permanent makeup, or micro pigmentation, is the process of implanting cosmetic pigments into the dermis layer of the skin to improve one’s appearance without having to apply makeup. This saves time compared to traditional makeup and is a lot more convenient because it doesn't smudge, or need to be reapplied while doing sports such as swimming or being active and sweating. The most common areas where permanent makeup is performed are on eyebrows, eye lines, and lip lines.
For many people, it drastically improves the quality of life by reducing the time needed for preparation before leaving the house and also from cleaning up after returning home at night. Many people who do not have the skills to draw in eyebrows or eyeliner can now be worry free.
