A Permanent Makeup artist has to apply for a license through the Ohio Department of Health. You will be a subject for inspection to see if you are following proper hygiene and sanitary standards.
- Body artist must be 18 years of age.
- Blood and body fluid precautions (to prevent the transmission of diseases, such as HIV, hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV)
- Observance of proper hand washing, wearing gloves and other protective garments and devices.
- Properly trained to perform the procedures.
